Go Daddy Girl Candice Michelle Welcomes Daughter AkiAnne into the World
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (May 24, 2010) - You know her as the sexy, tank-topped Go Daddy Girl who helped brand the world's largest Web hosting and domain name provider. Now, Candice Michelle has another role: Mommy!
Candice and her husband, KenGee, welcomed AkiAnne Rose into the world yesterday afternoon. AkiAnne, pronounced "Ah-kee Anne," weighs six pounds and is nearly 20 inches long. Both baby and mom are healthy and resting comfortably in a Los Angeles hospital.
"AkiAnne is more beautiful than we ever imagined she could be," Candice told her family.
"We're so happy for Candice and KenGee," said GoDaddy.com CEO and founder Bob Parsons.
AkiAnne is already part of the Go Daddy family too. Candice registered AkiAnneRose.com weeks ago.
"I registered her dot-COM name, and a few other back-up domain names, as soon as we decided on our baby's name," Candice said earlier this month. "I wanted to be sure AkiAnne had her very own place on the Internet, where we can post videos and photos - it's a great way to keep in touch with friends and family. I really do think, someday soon, everyone will have a domain name, just like we all have a cell phone number."
Candice is not alone. Popular baby names, as cited recently by the U.S. Social Security Administration, directly correlate with a surge in related domain name registrations at GoDaddy.com.
"The Internet is the real estate of the 21st century," said Parsons. "This is a way to give someone an inexpensive gift that can last a lifetime, instead of a toy that goes by the wayside after a few months. Think about it, the domain name sets up a person's online identity from day one!"

Dear GoDaddy Universe-
I am rapidly approaching the arrival of my baby girl! It could happen at any given moment. The hard part now is patiently waiting for her big debut! The exciting thing that I have been doing while waiting is taking advantage of Go Daddy's product, WebSite Tonight. It is so awesome! I am putting info onto my baby girl’s very own website so family, friends, and fans around the world will be able to meet her — everyone from my family in Milwaukee to KenGee's family in Japan! It is such an amazing product and easy to use. If I can do this, anyone can for special occasions, a new business or just to share your life!
Everyone has been curious about what her name is going to be and I will be releasing it via Go Daddy once she is born. They will send out a press release and reveal her very own domain name — how cool is that! We are very excited for this so everyone can read about how we chose her name, why we chose a home birth and see the very first photos of her. I will also be releasing the photos from the pregnancy shoot on this site. We have some fun family photos we took and also a fashion shoot we did. Welcome back!
This week has been kind of crazy. As you all know I am rapidly approaching my due date! Unfortunately I came down with a bad cough which sent me to the hospital with high blood pressure, 150/100 yikes! It was really scary considering...However the good news is when I went in for monitoring, my blood pressure went down to normal and was just a result of getting a bad cold and being at the Docs office! So I have been home loading up on vitamin C and back on board for my home birth!
I am totally ready with my birth kit at home and feeling so many emotions! So much excitement, nervousness, and anxious! I can't wait one day and the next I wonder where 9 months went!?
Go Daddy had an awesome contest with some super amazing prizes. I have picked my winner and that will be announced on there website. It was fun to watch the creativeness everyone came up with. The winner is gonna be announced at the Indy 500, how cool is that! I can't wait to see who the final winner is...
Well, til my next blog I may official be a mommy or you might get one more out of me before that so stay tuned, very exciting things to come...
